Having a child who is anaphylactic to peanuts through contact, airborne and ingesting, reading labels on EVERYTHING is imperative to reduce the risk of a potentially life threatening reaction.
Like all Jasmines allergies we read labels for everything, food products, healthcare products, medicines and cleaning products. Over the years we have come realise that labels are not always as they seem and the things we are trying to avoid are often listed as a different name which we aren't always familiar with.
I've put together a list below in the hope it will help you out reading food labels, especially if you are new to all this because it really is a minefield!

In the UK it is law to label food products with the top 14 allergens. A lot of companies add may contain to their labels, we avoid all this products too. If you are unsure whether to consume or not contact the manufacturer to get further details of production lines and you can always call your doctor, allergist or dietician for advise.
In our house we go by the rule "if in doubt, leave it out".
